Sarnami, one of the Caribbean Hindustani languages, is spoken in Suriname and also in the Netherlands due to the huge Surinamese Dutch Hindustani diaspora there. The language is found in Baithak Gana and Chutney styles of Suriname. However, it has also taken a form within the popular mucic of the Surinamese Dutch Hindustani living in the Netherlands. Here we see a popular Surinamese Dutch band 2famouscrw form the Netherlands with a number in Sarnami entitled 'Tante Dekh' (Look Auntie). Here is the English translation:

Tor bitiyá hamke mánge
(Your daughter wants me)

Ham ta ailí tor duwárí
(I came to your door)
Mánglí ek gilás pání

(I came to ask for her hand)
Ápan mái-báp ke sáth
