It's January 2024 and that means for Sara and myself embarking on an adventure we have promised ourselves to do for a few years now. Inspired by our daughter Lucy, and her lust for travelling, we track her footsteps across Thailand for 3 weeks, kind of back packing pensioners.

In this first episode (of 4) we fly from London Standsted to Phuket and then head north to the Khao Sok National Park. Heading out into the wild is what we want and we find it, spending two days and one night living on the Cheiwlarn Lake, which is huge and actually a reservior, in an over water chalet- no luxuries, although it was quite posh really, and no internet, just nature at its best.

We also spend time with the elephants in Phuket and Khao Sok and get our first taste of Scooter exploring.
