Unions representing the country's 1-point-3 million public servants have agreed on a joint set of demands ahead of the start of the new round of wage negotiations with the government next week.
Unions affilliated to COSATU, FEDUSA and NAC-TU have agreed on a consolidated wage demand of a 7 percent increase accross the board.
This, despite Finance Minister Tito Mboweni announcing a wage freeze for the next three years during his Budget Speech in parliament last week.
