Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai was arrested over alleged collusion with foreign forces under the city's controversial new national security laws. It is the highest-profile arrest under the new legislation. Lai, who owns the popular tabloid Apple Daily, is an outspoken pro-democracy figure and regularly criticises Beijing.
