We awake from a not so restful night's sleep at Brayshaw's hut and make our way through the strangely out of place roadworks towards Brandy Flat Hut for the ACT Swift Campout.

Swift Campout is a global call to go bike-camping during the summer solstice.... Or in our current hemisphere, the winter solstice. The event was started by Swift Industries - a small company that makes amazing bikepacking/bike touring bags, based in Seattle, WA. (Links Below)

The route from the South to Brandy Flat is a rough track cut by alpine machinery and is not a great place to bring a touring bicycle, but the destination is worth it.

D&B Cycling Australia is a video series documenting our time bicycle touring Australia; a bicycle tour led by our desire to seek out roadside attractions -- everything from the interesting and quirky, to the macabre and obscure.
We had initially planned on bike touring Australia as the first leg of an around the world bike tour, but the Covid-19 Pandemic that struck mid way through the trip forced us to change our plans and extend our Australian cycling adventure.
Thankfully Australia is a huge country with plenty to see, so we'll continue cycling around Australia until it's time to move on to the next adventure.
