Opportunity turned into reality when a free weekend evolved from a dream into me physically living out that dream. I've wanted to capture a sunrise from the top of a mountain for a while now, inspired by fellow photographer Thoman Heaton and his adventures when I got the chance to get myself into the heart of North Wales for a night, I decided to jump in with two feet and go for it!
Waking up at 5am in the Lodge Dinorwag above Llanberis, having a pot of porridge before driving up to Pen Y Pass, getting my boots on and setting off to torch light was quite an experience!
Only the second time I've taken on a night hike, I found it exciting, living my own little adventure. The wind was hard, the conditions changing from minute to minute. Sadly the sunrise never really matured, but I managed to salvage a few images from my camera.
I hope you like what you see here - check out my facebook page for more images from my December dash up Snowdon and many more pictures from my adventures throughout the year!
