Our latest film features a conversation between Joanna Pousette-Dart, daughter of Richard Pousette-Dart and curator of “1950s: Spirit and Substance,” a solo exhibition of the artist's work at our New York gallery; artist Christopher Wool, who studied painting with Pousette-Dart at Sarah Lawrence College; art historian and curator Robert Hobbs; and Charles Duncan, Executive Director of the Richard Pousette-Dart Foundation. This lively discussion centers on the spiritual and transcendental possibilities of art making expressed in Pousette-Dart’s work.
Special thanks to the Richard Pousette-Dart Foundation for its cooperation in the production of this film.
