In this video, I'll show how to paint realistic twigs and tree branches in acrylics. The tips and techniques I share here can be applied to any bark texture because the same layering process would be used. Working with building values and texture and then adjusting the colour with glazes works really well. It's my go to approach when working with acrylics. Painting tree branches can be overwhelming if the bark is detailed with lots of bumpy texture but by breaking it up into layers as I show here, it can become easier to tackle =).
