This is my American Graffiti 55' chevy street machine by Revell. The body, axles, and screws are all metal, the rest is plastic. This model is not a hundred percent movie accurate. The model is the only official one of the chevy to my knowledge.
I bought this kit from the same seller that had the deuce coupe. Just like the coupe the kit had a basement smell to the box. I took the decals and coated them with Testors decal bonder, and clear coat just to be safe.
The only problem I had with the kit was the skull broke. This was mainly between being 20 years old, and thin plastic. The skull is suppose to be placed over the mirror, then the mirror glued into the roof. The skull wasn't sitting right so I tried to give the plastic a slight bend, and the loop broke. Instead of trying to break the mirror, or remove it I decided on trying to fix the loop. After making up a new one with black sewing thread that was twisted, and coated in model glue. I had to glue it to the back of the plastic skull with Gorilla clear super glue, and run the thread around the mirror, then to the back of the skull.
