This Peer-to-Peer webinar focused on the issue of clinical trial linguistic validation. Seemingly an offbeat subject, but from the ensuing discussion led by Helen and Katri, it became apparent that getting this right is crucial in the successful delivery of clinical trials, and getting it wrong can complicate, slow and dilute or diminish the quality of life, health status or treatment data being captured.
At the centre of the discussion was eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments), used in global clinical trials where consistent data capture is needed across geographies, cultures and different languages.
Helen and Katri explained that significant checks are usually needed on any vendor which states that they can deal with eCOA. Do it right and you can achieve better and fast deployment, and do it wrong and the results collected may be delayed or confused.
