This week I have a travel vlog for you, a bit of nostalgia on my part I know... Anyway, CHIAPAS was my favourite place in Mexico. From dense jungles to canyons, waterfalls and ruins, it has so much to offer (and the climate is a lot cooler!)

Some interesting facts about Chiapas:
- Chiapas ranks 2nd among Mexican states in the production of cacao
- 60% of Mexico’s total coffee output
- Chiapas was administered by the Spanish as part of Guatemala until 1824 before joining newly independent Mexico
- 25% of its 4 million+ inhabitants are thought to be indigenous
- Chiapas has the greatest biological diversity in North America. Its forests are home to howler monkeys, red macaws, and jaguars
