While walking his ex-police dog Max, John, a retired officer, noticed Max barking uncontrollably at an ordinary-looking bag left near a park bench. John's initial thought was to ignore it, but Max's insistence sparked curiosity. The bag remained untouched as John later returned to the scene. Something about Max's unusual behavior wouldn't let him shake the feeling that something significant was being missed.
