American Artist - Francis Davis Millet, was a celebrated painter, Illustrator, author, and world traveler. A highly intellectual and respected artist among the social elites of the day, Millet was instrumental in organizing and guiding several art organizations to get started. He was gifted in several genres and host at his estate in the UK to artists and writers alike, among them Mark Twain. His paintings of Interiors are astonishing in their craftsmanship and detail. He had four children that were also included in John Sargent's paintings.
