An outbreak of Marburg virus in Rwanda has killed 15 people and infected 66. Known as the "bleeding eye" virus, it causes severe viral hemorrhagic fever. Symptoms include fever, headache, vomiting, and bleeding from multiple orifices. Spread via bodily fluids, it has a mortality rate of 24%-88%. No vaccine exists, but supportive care improves survival.
