Why hello everyone, the first history short did so well, and it brought me so much joy that I was able to share my love of history with all of y'all, Thanks so much for supporting me and I promise that I will try to make the best content I can.

Script: This man formed his own sect of an already highly persecuted religion and then named himself king of the kingdom of God on American Soil. Meet one of history’s most underrated figures James Strang. Strang was born on March 21, 1813 in Scipio, Cayuga County, New York. He was born into a good family and received an education, although the amount of time he actually spent in the classroom is debated. He then became a Baptist but later after meeting prophet Joseph Smith converted and became a Mormon. While on missionary work, Joseph Smith died leaving the Mormons without a leader. He then claimed that he was coordinated the leader of the church by an angel the second Joseph Smith died and Joseph Smith had appointed him. Long story short he lost the succession race, fled to beaver island with his followers, declared himself king of the kingdom of god to get elected to the Michigan legislature and then got assassinated where his kingdom fell apart, Wow that was a lot.
