A gunfight between security forces and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region resulted in the deaths of four Naxalites and a policeman. The encounter occurred in a forest along the border of Narayanpur and Dantewara districts. Automatic weapons were recovered from the site. The operation was part of ongoing anti-Naxalite efforts in the Abujmar area, previously considered a Naxal stronghold.
