It is Pentecost, 50 days after Easter Sunday. We commemorate how the risen
and ascended Lord Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit on his first disciples so they
could proclaim the wonders of God for everyone to hear.
God is still pouring out his Spirit as the wonders of God are proclaimed in the
here and now. This Sunday we celebrate the Spirit's work as we welcome new
confirmands into our Christian congregation.
