The 2025 Renault Duster's larger variant, the Dacia Bigster, has been officially revealed worldwide. This new C-segment SUV marks Dacia's largest model to date, closely resembling the rugged design of the concept car first showcased in 2021.
The Bigster measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of approximately 2,700 mm. Compared to the new Duster, it is 230 mm longer in overall length and has a wheelbase that is 43 mm greater.
The front design of the Dacia Bigster closely mirrors that of the Dacia Duster, with sleek LED headlights featuring distinctive Y-shaped elements. However, unlike the Duster, the Bigster lacks the plastic cladding around the lower grille. The fog lights are positioned beside the bumper, and the vehicle also comes equipped with a silver skid plate.
From the side, the Dacia Bigster showcases up to 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, bold hexagonal wheel arches, and black body cladding that enhances its rugged SUV aesthetic. The turn indicators are integrated into the side mirrors, while the rear door handles are positioned on the C-pillar. The Bigster also features silver roof rails and offers the option of a contrasting black roof.
At the rear, the Dacia Bigster features V-shaped LED tail lights, similar to those on the Duster. The boot door is adorned with 'Dacia' lettering across a carbon-fiber strip, while the rear bumper is robust, featuring a lighter-colored skid plate. The overall design is flat, with an integrated rear spoiler that completes the rugged look.
Inside, the Dacia Bigster features a dual-tone black and grey cabin, crafted entirely from sustainable materials. It comes with a 10-inch digital instrument panel (a 7-inch version is available on lower trims), similar to the Duster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Depending on the variant, the Bigster is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System suite, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic sunroof, an Arkamys audio system, dual-zone climate control, a motorized tailgate, and a powered driver's seat.
The Dacia Bigster offers a variety of powertrain options, including LPG, mild hybrid, and strong hybrid petrol engines. The entry-level TCe 140 features a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid technology, delivering 142 PS and 230 Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
The TCe 130 4x4 variant, equipped with the same mild-hybrid petrol engine, produces 132 PS and 230 Nm of torque. This model also includes five driving modes—Auto, Eco, Off-Road, Mud/Sand, and Snow—and a four-wheel-drive system, making it versatile for various terrains. It also uses a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Hybrid 155 combines a 107 PS four-cylinder petrol engine with two 50 PS electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery pack, producing a total output of 155 PS and 170 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a two-speed gearbox for the electric motor and a four-speed automatic transmission for the petrol engine.
Additionally, there’s the ECO-G 140, which produces 142 PS from a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid assistance, running on both LPG and petrol.#renault
