Gold, like bitcoin, also doesn’t produce anything or offer any services. It’s just a metal. It just sits around being metallic. So… if even useless Gold has value, then Bitcoin can too! What’s the difference? Bitcoin is just like digital gold. Problem solved.
And that’s about all the thinking that went into this comparison, when you’re already heavily emotionally and financially invested in something, and your ego and pride are on the line, it doesn’t take much to convince you of nonsense.
