Watch again as US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin gave a speech at Naval Academy's graduation ceremony on Friday, 26 May.
The US Defense Secretary welcomed the next generation of sailors and marines as "the finest Navy that the world has ever known".
Mr Austin asked the Naval Academy to work on "a more open and more peaceful 21st century" amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine and heightened tensions between China and the Western alliance.
He said: "You know, our competitors openly challenge that vision.
"They want to replace the hard-won postwar system of rules and rights with a lawless world of autocracy and aggression."
