Dawn Beach has evolved as one of the attractive vacation places on the island of Sint Maarten. It is located between the Westin Hotel and Oyster Bay resort. Very attractive villas are located between at hillside above Dawn Beach. The beach is known for its sugar white sand facing the Atlantic side of Sint Maarten. The East side guarantees spectacular views of the sunrise with the island of Saint Barth in the distance.
This beach is popular not only for its pristine white sand, but also for facilities provided, such as beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, bar and restaurant services. Some more restaurants are a few steps away on the Oyster Bay side.

This beach is perfect for a swim in crystal clear waters or a relaxing stroll to the Westin Hotel on the South side of the beach. The coral reef is a bit off the shore, so you have first to swim to get to the best snorkeling spots. The surf can sometimes be a little challenging, so for very young children or toddlers Dawn Beach is not always an ideal beach. It all depends on the weather!

The rather steep hill behind the beach at gated Dawn Beach Estate encompasses dozens of private vacation homes. Some are very upscale and large, some are more on the budget side with one or two bedrooms only.
