(23 Jul 2016) Afghan health ministry officials say at least 61 people were killed on Saturday and more than 200 more were injured in a blast which hit a Kabul protest march.
The explosion struck a large demonstration march in the Afghan capital Kabul.
The Islamic State group has admitted the attack, saying two of its militants detonated explosive vests.
A spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani told The Associated Press that the central government had warned march organisers that they faced a possible "terrorist attack".
The marchers were ethnic Hazaras demanding that a major regional electric power line be routed through their impoverished home province.
While most Hazaras are Shiite Muslims, most Afghans are Sunni.
