So this is a problem I'm having 7 days after purchasing my car from the Audi dealer in Bellevue Washington. The error code indicates that it's either the crank sensor or the cam sensor. This also means it might be timing related because those two can also indicate a mismatch in the timing of the cam and the crank.
There is a known issue with these Audis up to and through 2012 where the timing Chains would wear out and stretch and the tensioners would fail to tension it correctly. The recommended replacement for the timing chain and tensioners is before 100,000 miles. I purchased my vehicle with 99850 miles on it from an Audi dealership.
It is my opinion that they knew this service was due and had not been done. Especially since they had been the servicer of this vehicle for the last sixty thousand miles.
They should have informed me that this service was due and had I known I would have had them do that or I would have had them roll the cost of that into the loan that I received in order to finance the vehicle. Otherwise I most likely would have continued to look for a better vehicle choice to purchase. the car is beautiful and I love it.
Now I'm just furious at the Audi Bellevue dealership and feel like they intentionally deceived me.
The car is beautiful and I love it. I would much rather have it fixed and keep it for another 100000 to 200,000 miles.
