Your ProAdvisor profile is the first impression that potential clients will have of you. Make sure it’s the best one.

The ProAdvisor profile has been really helpful for us. That's one of the biggest values that we get out of the program, because once you're certified, you get to be part of that catalog.
Where you have millions of business owners searching out people that are experts in Intuit products.
So they have a platform that allows us to be listed there so people that are looking for a ProAdvisor, they go there, they find you, you get leads from that, you grow your business.
So your ProAdvisor profile is your first impression. It's the image that you want to project to these potential clients.
People want to connect with humans, not firms and not emojis. They want to actually connect with a person.
So having a picture there is worth 1,000 words, right?
It automatically gives them comfort. It allows them to see that you're nice.
People want to know who you are. They want to know your face. So people are gonna notice if you do take the time to go ahead and take a professional headshot.
Obviously if you have a Find-a-ProAdvisor website, you want reviews. So then my second part was to start asking my clients for reviews.
The way we've gotten those reviews is, number one, just ask. I think a lot of ProAdvisors are afraid to embarrass themselves, to put themselves out there, but, you know, if you want to grow, you have to take those risks, and those emotional risks sometimes are the hardest to take.
You can get a feel for if you've helped a person during that session; right then when they're feeling all happy, give them the ask and say, "Hey, can you just write a couple of sentences, and I'll send you a link and you can post it on my ProAdvisor profile? It would really help me out."
Make asking for reviews a habit. You know, every Saturday I have a reminder on my calendar "Ask for a review." Go to the Find-a-ProAdvisor site, find your profile, copy that link, put it in the email. Right? Make it easy for them. So when you ask for a review, "Hey, wondering if you could help us out. Just click on this link. Leave a review."
Make it super simple.
