A huge mountain of discarded waste can now be seen from space in Chile’s Atacama Desert. Most of the waste generated in this region is from the increase in fast fashion, with an estimate of 92 million tonnes generated per year. With most of the clothes being non-biodegradable and full of chemicals, Chile is now facing a new crisis in terms of environmental degradation.
