If your Kwikset Powerbolt 2 Electronic Deadbolt isn't working properly, resetting it is usually a go-to troubleshooting step.
A reset will restore the factory default settings and possibly fix problems—such as not locking/unlocking electronically.
Also, if you've lost your Master Code or just want to reprogram the lock, you can reset it to remove all existing codes/settings. Then reprogram the lock using the default Master Code—0000.
