Online weddings are legally recognised in Australia under the Marriage Act 1961 (Section 88D), by the Attorney General's Department and by the fact that the Department of Home Affairs (Immigration) is granting partner visas and tourist visas AND travel ban exemptions to Australian Filipina couples (and no doubt others too) who married online through the Provo Government of Utah USA.
