The HD Kumaraswamy-led Congress-Janata Dal Secular coalition government lost majority in Karnataka Assembly on Tuesday. After weeks of suspense, the political drama culminated with the trust vote, while 99 lawmakers voted in favour of the government, 105 legislators of the BJP voted against the motion. The lone BSP lawmaker and the independents didn’t attend the floor test.
