Hyatt Place Hangzhou Airport: A Convenient and Thoughtful Stay
During my recent travels, I stayed at Hyatt Place Hangzhou Airport, which surprised me with a thoughtful gesture: they allowed me to store my luggage for four days before my check-in date—free of charge!
Why Stay at an Airport Hotel?
With increasing travel over the years, I’ve found myself staying at airport hotels more often. Whether it’s for an early morning flight or a layover with imperfect connections, airport hotels are a convenient choice. This time, I booked a stay because my departure flight from Hangzhou was scheduled at an early hour.
Pre-Check-In Luggage Storage
What made this stay special was the luggage storage service. Since I didn’t need my check-in luggage while exploring Hangzhou, I decided to try leaving it at the hotel before my stay. Upon arriving in Hangzhou and clearing customs, I headed to Terminal 4, where the hotel is located.
To find the hotel, I took the elevator to its designated floor. Be prepared for some potential delays during peak hours, as the elevators can get crowded. Once on the correct floor, I followed the signage to the hotel. It’s worth noting that this floor has two Hyatt properties: Park Hyatt Hangzhou and the more budget-friendly Hyatt Place Hangzhou, where I stayed. You’ll also pass a Luckin Coffee, China’s answer to Starbucks, on the way. The hotel is easy to spot and conveniently located.
When I explained my request to the front desk staff, they happily agreed to store my luggage, even though my check-in was still four days away. With that taken care of, I could fully enjoy my Hangzhou trip with my family, luggage-free.
The Stay
Check-in was smooth when I returned. We booked two rooms, and my grandmother and I shared a room with twin beds. The room was spacious, simply furnished, but had all the essential amenities. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful stay. We were very satisfied with the overall comfort.
One highlight of the day was watching planes take off and land with my grandmother from the hotel window—a unique experience we both enjoyed.
Breakfast Policy Hiccup
The only downside was the breakfast policy. When I asked if breakfast was included, I was informed that only one person per room could enjoy breakfast due to my booking through a third-party platform. This wasn’t clearly stated during booking, so we decided to skip breakfast at the hotel and focus on checking out and catching our flight. Later, I contacted the hotel chain’s official service, and they generously offered some loyalty points as compensation.
Conclusion
Overall, my experience at Hyatt Place Hangzhou Airport was positive. The free luggage storage, convenient location, and spacious rooms made it a great choice for travelers. I hope this video helps you plan your stay, and I’ll see you in the next one!
Until next time, happy travels!
