About the presenter
Emilia Bell is a librarian, researcher and PhD candidate. They are currently Manager, Research & Digital Services at Murdoch University Library, and speak and write on library evidence-based practice, academic services, open knowledge and international librarianship. Emilia’s doctoral research delves into open knowledge diplomacy, exploring the role of Australian university libraries in fostering open practices for climate scholarship. They are the co-Founder and Chair of the Association of Neurodivergent and Disabled GLAMR Professionals Australia (ANDPA) and serve as a member of various committees, including the Library Applied Research Kollektive (LARK). Emelia is a newly appointed ALIA Board member and the the recipient of the 2024 ALIA Metcalf Award, which recognises high achievement by an ALIA Personal Member in their first five years of practice in libraries and information services.
