Tsutomu Nihei is a cult manga creator responsible for bleak, disturbing and gory cyberpunk horror stories and likely best known for Blame! and Knights of Sidonia. However, today we'll be looking at volumes 4 and 5 of his lesser known and yet still gorgeous Biomega. We have zombies, cyborgs, zombie cyborgs, espers, giant monsters and some of the best art in manga of the era.
It's no wonder that while Nihei's stories can be extremely hard to follow, he still has a sizeable audience and has even written for Marvel, namely Wolverine and Halo.
Today, we'll do our best to unravel Biomega, in part 3 of a 4 part series on the...well, series.
