Time-lapse taken from east of Stanton, KY of a "train" of supercells/severe thunderstorms passing by. Several of these storms were tornado warned. Most of the storms you cannot see, other than part of the anvil...mostly due to lower level clouds. The low clouds, coupled with mountains and forests, make distant storm shots difficult east of the Mississippi, unlike in the Plains where it is flat and you can see for many miles. Chasing these fast moving storms in eastern KY is highly discouraged.
