Review of Sony Xperia E
Sony has been doing great in the smartphone world with its Xperia range of devices. With the launch of Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, Sony has carved out for itself a new spot in the limelight.
The Xperia E is Sony's attempt to enter the basic smartphone bracket along with its Xperia Tipo which created a temporary buzz in the smartphone market space.
The Xperia E features a 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 480 px. The display is ordinary TFT with no special powers as we see in the higher segment True HD IPS and Super AMOLED displays. The resolution is just about right for a screen of such small size (only because nowadays 4.5 inches and above is the norm display size).
Powered by a 1 GHz single core processor and 512 MB RAM, the Xperia E is running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and would mostly be upgraded to Jelly Bean soon. It surely is capable of running Android 4.1.2 and 4.2.2.
The Xperia E camera is a 5 MP sensor with no autofocus and LED Flash. It can video record with VGA quality. All without flash means that taking pictures in the dark ain't gonna be pretty except in the night mode which would be rather poor quality as well.
There is no front camera in the Xperia E which means no video calling and no self obsessed shots.
