While there are some really incredible designs on US coins, we couldn’t have favorite designs without ones we aren’t as keen on. But since I like to keep things positive, instead of solely listing the coins I don’t like, I instead went back and looked at pattern coins that I think would’ve been great adaptations for mass productions. Patterns are some of my favorite coins to think about - essentially when deciding between different designs, many different coins would be mocked up and actually produced. Unfortunately it’s no longer the case, meaning that we don’t have pattern coins today, but they’re still great to learn about. I’d love to hear your thoughts on my list as well as what your opinions are! I read all of the comments so I look forward to seeing what you guys think.
