When I talk about crossbow hunting I get asked this question all the time. "How far can you shoot a crossbow?" The issue that some people have is the idea that since a crossbow scope has hash marks all the way out to 100 yards, they think it should be easy to shoot it out to 100 yards. But the fact is, a crossbow with a scope at 100 yards is much different than a rifle with a scope set to 100 yards.
In this video I explain the reasons why I think you should limit your hunting shots in the woods to a certain distance for greater success. Your hunting success should come from more than how far your crossbow is capable of shooting, but rather how well your stand location is setup and your ability to shoot under pressure.
