Getting small business owners to change their ways is no small task, but Nissan Motors have decided to challenge the status quo with the new all electric e-NV200 van and 5 seater combi vehicle. The new model is aimed squarely at taxi cabs, and businesses such as delivery, professional services like plumbers and decorators and anyone who needs to carry around significant amounts of tools and equipment to their work site.
In our tests we found the e-NV200 to be incredibly nice to drive, smooth, refined and almost silent. A very strange experience for a commercial van. The driving position and low center of gravity (with the battery pack slung below the cargo bay) makes for a very comfortable drive which suggests that driver fatigue should be reduced significantly.
All in all we have to say we're now total fans of this van, and can't wait to see more taxi companies start to adopt the all electric marque once the word gets out that there's now a new way to run your workhorse.
