Thought I would share some of the ritual poetry that I have written and that I use in my own Samhain ritual over the years. The point of ritual is to shift your state of consciousness and short-circuit the conscious mind so that you can develop a meaningful relationship with your subconscious and unconscious selves. Poetry is one of the ways in which we get ourselves into the right frame of mind to allow the magic to take place.
