🇵🇱 June 14. National Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the German Nazi Concentration Camps and Death Camps. 🇵🇱
On June 14, 1940, the Germans transported a group of 728 Poles from the prison in Tarnów to the Auschwitz camp, including soldiers from the September campaign. It was the first mass transport of prisoners to the newly established camp. This day is considered to be the beginning of the activities of the KL Auschwitz concentration camp.
🇵🇱 Let us remember that the first prisoners in the German concentration camp KL Auschwitz were Poles.
