To get here you can take a flight to Medan, Indonesia. From there you can take a taxi or public transport to Bukit Lawang. We took public transport and our homestay helped us with that over Whatsapp. We stayed with Fun Family Guesthouse which you can Whatsapp at +62 813-7087-6718.
From there basically everything is covered by the homestay, there's plenty of restaurants in Bukit Lawang and it's a pretty chill place. You can basically do a jungle trekking for as long as you request, although it'll be more expensive the more days you want. We only did it for a couple days as we didn't have much time but if we did have more time I think it'd be worth it.
