Riding C-VAN requires planning ahead. It also requires patience and flexibility at times. All trips are reserved in advance, and they may be shared with other passengers based on scheduling needs.
Here’s how it works: Reserve your trip by calling 360-695-8918 at least a day in advance. A C-TRAN representative will ask for some basic information including the address of your starting point and destination, pickup time, return time, any mobility equipment or other needs you may have. Be sure to make note of your ride information when your ride is booked.
Riders will receive a 30-minute pickup window for the start of their trip. To avoid delays, missed trips and no-show penalties, be ready to go before the bus arrives. And remember that the bus is not considered late until after the 30-minute window has passed.
For any C-VAN ride, passengers must stay at their destination for at least 45 minutes. Up to 10 will calls are offered per day for a return trip when riders don’t know when they’ll need to leave their destination. The same 30-minute pickup window applies for the return trip. C-TRAN does not accept same-day ride reservations or changes. Passengers can call to confirm or cancel their rides 24 hours a day using our automated Ride Reminder system.
Keep in mind that you may have to accept an alternate trip time depending on availability and the needs of other passengers. We do our best to meet the needs of all of our customers. We accommodate every ride that’s requested. But we ask our passengers to be patient and flexible.
