Here are 5 great tapping riffs and licks to listen to and learn on guitar!

Tapping in guitar isn't too commonly used in most songs so here's a selection of songs with tapping sections in it.

There is also a lot of tapping used in acoustic guitar music - Newton Faulkner for example, and there are some quite extreme examples such as CAFO by Animals As Leaders.

I'm no EVH but I gave the two Van Halen songs my best shot.

TSB-1 Tyrant, Noise Gate, Le456 amp sim, LeCab with a combination of God's cab, Marshall and Diezel Impulses, Stereo Tape delay set to 0 delay so that it acts as tape saturation, and finally a bit of subtractive EQ to just tidy up the sound a bit as always.

Various use of the JST plugin Sidewidener - very helpful for getting narrow sounds to fill out the stereo field, I highly recommend it!
