N is a motor tram aND E-nd is a trailer. The characteristic detail in it is three wiNDows on the side (many other trams has similar fronts!). Constructed to repair after-war damages, it was a very cheap and simple construction. The engineers almost copied German Kriegs-Strassenbahn-Wagen (War Normall Tram). Due to this it wasn't very comfortable. It had manually opened doors, which were succesfully chanched to electric. The construction allowed to pull two trailers aND to change it to a two-direction tram. Most of them were rebiuld into one-directoin trams.
It was used in Warsaw, Szczecin, Katowice, Krakow (since 1949), Wroclaw, Bytom, Poznan, Walbrzych, Bielsk, and probably many other. Most of this cities has restored Ns today.
