In this video we see the second to last run of the ex-Northern line unpainted aluminium 1972 Mk 1 Stock 3229-3329 as it arrives and shunts out of Ealing Common working Train 777 Holborn - Ealing Common Depot on the morning of the 24th November 2021. The train, stored on the Aldwych branch for crew training and filming, is now financially unviable due to a lack of maintenance and frequent operation during the coronavirus pandemic and so it is being stripped for spares and scrapped. Its final move will be from Ealing Common Depot to Ruislip Depot in early January. This is also likely to be the last movement of a train on the Aldwych branch, some 27 years after its closure.
