Maybe half a year ago from this date I had wanted to make a video about MTV"s Liquid Television. I interviewed an assortment of animators, did some deep research, but unfortunately the subject was so important to me I didn't trust myself to do it right. One of the people I interviewed was animator and director Eli Noyes. While the recording of our interview unfortunately was lost due to a recording error, me and Eli stayed in touch occasionally.

During the project, he sent me a collection of commercials he had directed (and sometimes animated) in the past, along with some of his short films.

Unfortunately, though I wish I could have talked to him more, Eli passed away this week. To celebrate his work, which has inspired me, I've decided to share what he shared with me.

Noyes directed these short intertitles with his friend Kit Laybourne, also an animator, in 1987.

Kit has already uploaded these to his Vimeo account years ago, however I thought I'd upload the tape that Eli sent me as well, just for the sake of sharing it.
