Mister Bloom was a Batman villain introduced as the nemesis of Jim Gordon's incarnation of Batman following Bruce Wayne's supposed death. Before gaining his powers, the man who would become Mr. Bloom was an anonymous participant of Daryl Gutierrez's underground metahuman experiments. Said experiments resolved to grant ordinary civilians metahuman powers through the consumption of a device known as a "seed". Mr. Bloom was the only successful subject. The seeds resulted in the patient developing the ability to grow and contort his body to inhuman proportions, and even grow root-like tentacles. After the experiment, he used his newfound powers to escape and steal seeds for his own use. While using his powers, Bloom can sharpen his fingers to deadly points, his go-to weapon when aiming to kill. Mister Bloom is able to grow to gigantic size, becoming taller than entire buildings.
