The DCU appears to be adding a Clayface movie to the schedule under the James Gunn tenure to be written by Mike Flanagan, director TBD. This Batman villain has existed in some form or another since the golden age. From Basil Karlo to Matt Hagen and beyond people are fascinated with this tragic villain. There have been many many adaptation of the character as well: Batman TAS, The Batman, Suicide Squad Isekai, Harley Quinn, Gotham, Batman Caped Crusader and more. The character has potential but do you want to see a Clayface movie?
