Cinnamon is one of the most popular spices in the world, used to enhance the flavour of our meals and add a sweet taste to different recipes. Nope only is it popular for its taste, but it also contains important health promoting abilities and medicinal properties. Ceylon cinnamon is becoming especially popular for this reason, with it containing many different compounds that can fight disease and infections, reduce inflammation and is packed with antioxidants. When consuming ceylon cinnamon regularly, you do not need to eat it in large amounts to obtain these health benefits, with one teaspoon to one tablespoon being more then enough. Now, lets discuss some of the amazing health benefits of consuming ceylon cinnamon regularly.
1. First, ceylon cinnamon is loaded with many different types of vitamins, minerals and other healthy compounds that can improve our overall health. It is an excellent source of manganese, as well as calcium, iron, vitamin K, copper and magnesium to name a few. Ceylon cinnamon is also a great source of dietary fibre, contains many different antioxidant compounds and is low in calories.
