I’ve had this unit since fall of 202 and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.
It’s a nice little unit in the $1000 category and you won’t get a 12” helical head anywhere else.
The jointer bed is 43” so it’s a little limited but with a roller stand, longer boards can be jointed.
Biggest concerns is that the motor is a little under powered but that’s to be expected with a 120 motor. If you’re not constantly doing 12” boards, then it won’t be a problem.
The fence could be better but it seems to work alright.
Ultimately I will be upgrading because I want a longer jointer bed and I’d like a higher powered motor.
For the hobbyist, it’s an option definitely worth considering. For $1,000, this unit accomplishes a lot.
