This series is lessons from Elijah. Learning through experience definitely makes an impression. We can all learn from hard knocks, but it’s a lot less painful to learn by example. First Corinthians 10:6 and 11 say that the experiences of those in the Bible were recorded for our examples. Elijah’s story is full of great examples, both good and bad.
08 Andrew continues on his 4th week teaching on Lessons from Elijah
58 Even Tyrants do not have complete rule without the people's consent
20 The enemy cannot do anything to us without our consent and cooperation. Jezebel is a perfect representation of how the enemy operates
25 Before you can see it on the outside you must see it on the inside. If you see yourself less than, then you will be less than.
00 One of the greatest lesson learned is that when you are living in success you are at your most vulnerable. Most people in difficult situations lean and seek God vs when in good times.
40 If you look at the history of the church, it has prospered during hard and difficult times because God's people must rely on God.
06 A greater indicator of your character is: when you are in prosperity. What comes out of you then? 2nd Sam 11
50 Elijah had been told that there were more prophets of God, it was not only him the only one left
00 For David as long as his life was at risk, he would seek God with all of his heart
10 One of the ways you maintain your relationship with God is through Thanksgiving
20 Elijah, let go of his dependency from God after he had done things nobody else had done (success) We can learn from these lessons.
