Ingredients:
Chicken breast fillets - ½ kg
For Marination:
Cream - 4 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Green chili paste - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Black pepper - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
Method:
Marinate the chicken fillets with cream, ginger garlic paste, green chili paste, salt, black pepper, coriander powder, and lemon juice.
Place half a cheese slice inside each chicken fillet, then roll it up tightly and secure it with toothpicks.
Heat 2 tbsp of oil and 2 tbsp of butter in a frying pan.
Grill the kebabs in the pan, and once they hold their shape, remove the toothpicks and flip them over.
Cover and cook the kebabs on low flame for about 10 minutes, flipping as needed.
Sprinkle ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top of each kebab, followed by crushed chili flakes and chopped coriander leaves.
Cover and let the cheese melt completely. Serve hot, and enjoy your creamy, cheesy Chicken Dilkash Kabab!

Oil - ½ cup
Large onion (chopped and fried until golden) - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Whole mixed spices - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Bay leaf - 1
Curry leaves - 6-8
Cloves - 2
Tomatoes (large, finely chopped) - 2
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - ¾ tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Roasted cumin (crushed) - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Whole dried red chilies - 4
Water - ¼ cup
Chanay ki daal (split chickpeas, soaked and boiled) - 250g
Allspice - ½ tsp
Green chilies (whole) - 4
Fresh coriander - 3 tbsp
Boiled rice (to serve)
Mixed salad (to serve)
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add the chopped onion, and cook until golden brown.
Add the whole spices (cumin seeds, bay leaf, curry leaves, and cloves) and fry for a minute.
Stir in the ginger garlic paste and finely chopped tomatoes.
Add all the dry spices (chili powder, turmeric, salt, roasted cumin, coriander powder, and whole dried red chilies) along with ¼ cup of water.
Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil starts to separate from the masala.
Add the boiled chana daal and ½ cup of water. Cover and cook until the daal is fully done.
Finally, add the allspice, whole green chilies, and fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with boiled rice and a fresh salad.
